My planet has changed.
After spending dozens and dozens of hours looking for a perfect planet in a perfect system (according to my criteria)

With the WORLD update, my planet has completely changed. It still has its rings, but the atmosphere has changed and the flora and fauna have changed.

In short, I don't use MODs.

If anyone has an answer or even a solution ... because I'm well well well well disgusted.

Sorry - but there is no solution. Planets have changed.

The universe was re-rolled, the solution is to find a new planet of you liking.
Have a nice day.

Except is was.
I discovered this planet 8 years ago, and built my first real 'Base' on it. Not just a couple cobbled together walls and a teleporter to come back to. This was my Base.

I added more and more over the years and had a sprawling base mostly over and under the water. I built it to have fantastic vistas and views

Everywhere I went, I came back here. Everything I found, I brought back here. All of my discoveries and achievements in expeditions went on display here. I'm 5 galaxies deep and HERE, in this far flung branch of Euclid is where I log out at the end of the day. And it's Here because of the planet it was.
It was beautiful.
It was idyllic.
IT. WAS. HOME.
And now it's a hell hole and it literally makes me nauseous just thinking about it.

I don't disagree with you, but I want to know... How did it evolve during through the years?

My starter planet changed "biomes" at least three times since release.

Surely, your planet changed too...

Since Planets Update 1, I would recommend not doing anything with planets until they're done with the planet specific updates. They're likely to get messier.

Forget the illusion of permanence. Nothing remains the same, not even your digital world in a game. It may change to something else someday. Maybe better, maybe worse in your opinion.

If you are not liking the current status, vote with your feet and find a new home that meets your criteria. Some of the floating island worlds are lovely.

This is game about exploring and discovering new things. You just discovered your home changed. You either deal with it or find a new home. My home system/planet has changed at least five times. Some changes made it better, some worse, but it is still my home after seven years.

Guess what they'll never finish the planets specific updates

Go get a freighter I guess and deal with it at least that's what all the OGs will tell you

I understand your pain. One question, though. How did you survive the Atlas RisesNEXT reset?

Be aware that your link does not seem to match my experience of major resets in the game universe. I would not put a lot of faith in this "history". I know my home base in Eissentam(discovered 8 years ago) has seen major changes at least four times. I have the photos to prove it. When that entry refers to "No changes detected" it probably means they looked for date stamps or some other inferred data analysis. So misleading as hell.

I understand, but I also treat all my bases like I would treat a sandcastle.

The only way it will last forever is by taking videos and photographs.
