Worth starting a new game?
I seem to have come back to this game quite a few times over the years when updates get released, then stop playing after about 10-15 hours then rinse and repeat.

My question: Given the new changes, is it worth starting a new game this time around or should I just continue my last save?

The only thing that charged is the look. The quests are the same. Starting over is up to you. But there's nothing new other that the looks of planets. And if you've never played the game before you never know they changed anything. You'll think it always looked that way. So, what's the big deal.

I have a save that I just keep playing. The changes over the last few years seem to incorporate without needing a new game start. I do check by starting a new game occasionally. One update a while ago did change the start mechanics but I feel its safe to just keep going. You'll see changes within new systems you explore.

If you want to. But not required. I'm on my original launch save. Nothing has been added that would make me want to trudge through all of the nonsensical tedium again.

You and I are in the same boat. The only time I ever got really far in the game was my first play through on normal and then when survival mode first came out I did another decent run.

Now I perpetually revisit the game every year or two and start a fresh save that I play for a bit and then I dip.

I feel like I need to start over every time because I am too detached from where I was and what was going on at the end of my previous save.
