Hard locked on 120fps or is it still fluctuating? I have the same specs but did have to turn a few options down to get my stable 144fps.

It does drop below 120 every now and then but it never goes above 120. When it's on 120 and stays there it never goes above it not even by a single frame. Even if I put DLSS to performance the frame rate doesn't change if I turn on frame gen it actually makes my FPS worse.

They definitely botched the DLSS and FG because both make my FPS lower instead of higher, so don't bother with those. I haven't tried FSR but that might even be better than DLSS. I put the shadows & volumetric stuff on Enhanced to get my 144fps. Also make sure there is no FPS cap in the settings (somewhere in the top)

Remove the fps limiter on the driver level like in nvidia app. I had the same issue. Until they fix it, that's an easy solution for us. Instead use the game limiter

Sorry my mistake when I said no caps I meant no caps forcing it it to 120. I do have a global cap of 240 in my control panel turning off the cap for NMS as lifted the cap however the fps still fluctuates all over the place with hardly any GPU or CPU usage.

Frame gen still makes my fps worse is frame gen just completely broken?

frame gen is totally broken for now

It's Vulkan cutting the fps in half. In Nvidia control panel you can go to program setting for NMS and set max FPS to double what you want it to be. The fix before was to set "Vulkan/OpenGL present method" to Prefer Native, but since this update it's not working.

I was having the same issue with Rage 2, which also uses Vulkan. I have a 144Hz monitor, I cap my FPS at 140, and anything using Vulkan was maxing at 70.
