Game is seemingly locked at 45 FPS.
After launching the game post-update and resolving some minor performance issues, my game simply wont budge beyond 45fps regardless of my graphics settings. Even lowest settings with 10% resolution scale, I am still hard locked at 45 FPS. I've made many changes to my frame limits in game, through NVIDIA program settings, and also through the games .ini files, no fix so far. I've got the game running pretty stable, this frame lock is just really annoying to me. Any advice/fixes/workarounds are welcome!

Specs:
Running in 1080p
RTX 3080ti
I7-8700K
16 GB Ram
Game installed on SSD

You playing with 90hz refresh? Try turning on Triple Buffering under the vsync options. If you ever have issues with a game locking to 1/2 of your refresh, that's the problem.

60hz, messed around with Triple Buffering anyway, no change.

I have a similar rig and experienced similar frame rate issues. I also noticed several textures that didn't/don't load properly, minor stuttering, and slow menu interactions. Cant say i saw much of anything else about the update other than a few new creature designs on my spawn planet, and as far as my spawn planet, I spawned on an incredibly radioactive planet that almost killed me during the tutorial missions and initial ship repair. I thought stuff like that got addressed in earlier patches. So hopefully we see some hotfixes coming.

I'm on a rtx 3050, i5 cpu, 32 ram and on a 1080p tv screen, not even monitor. I run on high and keep a stable 60fps outside of entering or exiting a planets atmo or warping around. Did you perhaps lock your fps or something? I had to increase mine to the max and saw it jump up like 20fps on average when i did.

FPS is unlocked, Vsync is off. Have set the frame limit to many things and no change.

My problem was solved. In another post I was told to disable frame limit entirely in the Nvidia control panel, this unlocked my game completely and its running quite well on ultra with no DLSS, although DLSS has been a huge help in smoothing things out. 150 Frames in space, 50 frames on hazardous/busy planets, about 60/70 frames on desolate/uneventful worlds.
