Happend on my first attempt after the update as well. I made a new game. Got to the crashed ship, saved. Went back to old save and it loaded. Not sure you'll need to do all that but it worked for me.

I'm having this same issue and it's making me so sad, nothing has worked so far. If you find a solution please let me know

Me too :(

Edit: Took a couple of starts, but it's fine now.

It crashed the first time I tried to start a new game. The second time it worked. I suspect their world generating algorithms are not well tested and sometimes generate worlds that cause game to crash <shrug>...

I just started a new game and it worked fine. Idk. Don't really care too much about my old save anyway.

There was a bug fix release today:
"Fixed a PC-only crash that could occur at the transition from the starfield to the game."
Sounds like it may help in my case. Haven't tried it yet, tho.

just figured it out, someone else in the other thread pointed out that it was because the setting for amd FSR was on by default.

turning it OFF fixed it, "BEGIN INITIALIZATION"

so pumped.

for those who are having issues with their graphics settings resetting, go to steamapps/common/no mans sky/binaries and set the "settings" files "read only" check box to off.

Update: Yes, that bug fix release seemed to fix it for me.

they probably just turned the FSR off as the default setting lol, it shouldn't have been on by default.

There was a tiny patch on experimental that seems to have fixed it for me. Also verify files maybe...
