Minotaur customization is broken... Again

Old new parts of the minotaur were broken for ages and could not be repainted. But hey, after the recent update for minotaur, you would thing that maybe HG will finally give us new minotaur parts, that can be repainted...

Installed everything, went to the customizer - nope. Nothing. You can't change anything. White fridge for everyone! What a frustration.

Imagine Sean Murray looking at final version of the update and saying: "Yeah, great. job. Same colors for everyone is a very good idea. Keeping minotaur customizer useless as before is a love letter to the old fans."

BTW, recent update also broke capes... AGAIN.

i'm not sure what you're speaking of... i've been able to change my Minotaur's colors via the Minotaur pad... one terminal summons it and the other allows painting it... perhaps i'm missing something, though...

EDIT: i just went into the game to collect the Phase 5 Optional reward... i went to my base where my Minotaur is located, added the right arm... then i checked that i could still change the colors and this was also (still) true... my Minotaur is (currently) all black but during my quick test, i made it all white as well as all orange... seems to work just fine...

i should also note that i play using the experimental branch... if the public branch is broken, give HG time to get things fully tested and merged from experimental to the public branch...

I could recolour mine too, but then I haven't played since the latest update which downloaded a couple of hours ago.

Are you saying this update has broken recolouring?

I just tried the Minotaur with all the new parts. It will let you change color for a few minor elements on the minotaur, but the base green (at least for mine) color cannot be changed. I am guessing so you know you are using the "extra" part series versus the standard.

I had no trouble changing the colors on the base model Minotaur so not sure what OP is talking about.

The Hardfarme parts ("old new parts") were blue for everyone, could not be repainted.
The Liquidator parts (new new parts) are white for everyone, can not be repainted.

However, as wkitty42 explained, the fix is already in Experimental branch.

Thank heavens they finally addressed it in experimental. Ive been annoyed at that with the old hardframe optional parts as well, from the Trace of Metal quest line. Ill wait for stable, but good to know it's in the pipe.

If only the flamethrower wasnt a massive pile of garbage. A laughable range of like 5 feet. Cannon will outperform it in every scenario.
