Thought my reply didn't post, when refreshed it didn't appear. Wrote it again and deleted the other to correct the fact the other post was asking about switching multitools with a keybind.
If the only means is to have multiple multi-tools to have this functionality..... bad idea. You should be able to keybind each weapon instead of having to swap out a million dollar multi-tool. It is a "multi-tool" after all... isn't it.
To avoid having to swap through a ton of tools.
Same with my ship, just an Infra-Knife, and a Phase Beam to rebuild my shields.
choose anything on the quick menu and press CNTRL + 1 through to 0
This includes secondaries, ships etc.
He's talking about switching Weapons that are ON THE SAME MULTITOOL.
Problem there is no quickmenu for selecting these individual weapons on your multi-tool.... only the "G" key toggles through them.
ALLCAPSING doesn't make it righter.
Quick menu -> Cog Icon -> Change Secondary -> select one and hit CNTRL + 1 through to 0 to assign a number key
All Capsing is how I add EMPHASIS to words, instead of Italics.
Don't take it personally FFS.
Probably after I accumulate 100mil the thought of having to have more than 1 multi-tool to utilize a function that should be available.... might not be that problematic.
No, unfortunately not.
This is why I have multiple multi-tools, I don't like to have to scroll through lots of options during a fight, so I focus on max 1 or 2 weapon types per multi-tool and just switch tool if I want a different one
