Do all ships have the same max inventory/tech slots?
Or do some have lower limits?

There is no other section as that was eliminated with 4.0 Waypoint update I think. That's the one that did away with that section of storage and reduced the amount of modules you could install from 3 in one section and 3 in another for 6 total, to only 3. They boosted the bonuses a little to compensate, but it wasn't enough. People complained and they added the supercharged slots which helps mitigate the nerfing. Not sure if they had that already in the pipeline or added it as a result of the way 4.0 was received. But anyways, that's another matter

According to the wiki the maximum cargo slots vary between 100 and 120 depending on arc type.

hmm, I suppose it's possible this is true, but the wiki has a lot of outdated info too...

"Starting with the Outlaws update, ships now have a "Cargo" inventory tab that's similar to the exosuit's. The Cargo inventory space can be expanded up to 21 slots for most ships, or 42 slots for haulers." This is clearly not accurate in the current build...

I've not bothered maxing out anything by my interceptor so I can only confirm that one from personal experience (which is 60/120).

not necessarily solars have 10 slots less and I don't know about the rest

the max is NOT consistent between ship types. Certain ones have lower max slot amounts like Exotics

so the reply that OP marked as having answered the question is wrong
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

If you want to confirm any of the slots in anything, jump into a Creative Mode save (or change difficulty settings) and Max out the inventory and tech slots of any ship type and upgrade its class.

Creative makes available everything without cost. The only expense is time and a long visit to the ship salvage station clicking away on the mouse, upgrading the class and expanding the inventory slots of any ship that passes by.

+1 to this (which is why it's the only one I have personal data on)
