Exosuit technology storage spots, what Am I missing?
Have 73 cargo storage spots in my exosuit, but can't see anyway to increase the shields/hazards etc. protection technology spots. Have almost 100 hrs in game with about 10 tech spots ain't cutting it. Help please....

So I had the same question, it appears that instead of selecting an inventory spot when you upgrade you select a tech slot instead.

Yeah, when you upgrade your exosuit, you can actually choose which one to add to. Otherwise it will automatically default to the tech once you have all 120 cargo slots.

Couldn't see choice, so will look more closely next time.

The upgrade option will default to the next Cargo slot (filling by row, then column) but you can manually reposition the cursor over any "empty" slot in either Tech or Cargo to select a slot to apply the upgrade to.
Once you know where they always are, you can unlock the 3 Supercharged slots in the tech even if there are no adjacent slots unlocked yet.

When you finish a full tech row you have to use the scroller to get to the new fresh line below. If you don't do that it appears as though there is no option. Would be nice if new lines of tech showed up without needing to do that.

Also remember that you want to be watching how many units slots cost. Early game when units are tight you want to pay for cheaper slots and use the drop pods for pricy ones. Also, remember that every system has two slots for you - one at the space station and another at the anomaly. Don't forget to get both if you have the units for it.

When I get access to the anomaly I have a list of all the systems I've been to and go back and pick up the missed ones, usually, if I care at that point.

Yeah, thought I tried to do that before, but will try again. I've been playing a glass house character with little defenses. Thanks

Good information to know. Got a very few freebies so far, but haven't traveled much due to having weak as water exo-suit shields . Thanks

You mean a glass cannon character? Or a house made of glass. Laylaps can help you with that. :steamhappy:

:) glass house as when I pick fights with my timid exosuit shields (throw stones at bots & monsters), its 50/50 I get broke or have to hide out underground until my paper-thin shield recharges.

Exosuit upgrade maps to drop pods can be purchased at most minor settlements and some appear at navigation marker sites. You don't need to have access to the Anomaly or a space station exosuit dealer to get your suit upgraded. Most planets can handle about twenty such map locations before they start repeating themselves. Maps are much cheaper than buying slots at a space station.

For some reason I wasn't able to click on the technology area in exosuit before (when upgrading at a repaired drop-pod I swear). I stopped trying & thought all cargo storage blocks had to be cleared first. I am now able to open tech spots & am grinding pods like a Reddit troll. :) Thanks
