Can't make ion batteries

In the personal refiner mk2, I can't make ion batteries from ferrite dust and cobalt, even though I bought the blueprint from the anomaly. What more do I need to do?

click on a spot in your inventory to craft stuff like that
the ion battery should be there as an option

Make them in your suit/ship inventory.

Unbelievable! I had the "Component" list filter turn on in my suit inventory crafting interface, so the ion batteries never showed up as an option (since they're Consumables). As soon as I clicked on "All" they showed up.

Because of this, I went on a wild goose chase trying to make them in the refiner.

The processes around refining versus building in your suit inventory are not always easy to follow. Some things, like glass, you can make either way. Others are strictly one or the other method. Plus, it is really easy to forget about the filter and not realize you are only see a portion of the available bps to build.

Took me a long long time to figure out how to double amounts of cad, emril, and indium in the refiner. I was schlepping out to some solar system to mine what I needed every time.

there are recipes for making batteries, life gel, etc. via refineries if you experiment/check the wiki... but the ingredients are not exactly the same as if you craft them...

Exactly. I had it mastered earlier. And then... I just forgot to check.

Indeed. I spent a lot of time getting those refiner recipe ingredients. But then like a goofball I put the *other* set of ingredients in the refiner, the ingredients that are for crafting in your inventory and not in the refiner. And it didn't work.

All sorted now!
