I take it you meant damaged not destroyed... they should not have been destroyed...
I've found very little difference between ships once they are fully upgraded with S class tech...
Ah I did the same mistake yesterday, fully upgraded multitool S, and sentinel S class all broken, stupid Atlas ending. A little warning would be nice.
But yeah, once you know about this (even if not warned about in-game, it is fairly well documented by players), then you just get a random tool and ship that remain broken for use in galaxy jumps... just switch back to your normal ones after the jump
I'm pretty certain the S class interceptor I found had different stats every time I landed on my freighter (it was just sitting in the docking bay, not in use)
Opinions are your right, but the mods for games allow a player to customize the game to play the way they want to, exactly like Skyrim. With so many different mods it is possible to tweek just about every aspect of the game to remove irritants and make it more fun for the way you want to play.
