ive tried and tried to get one of those flying creatures and had no luck... i've been where they dive in and feed off the ground but none of them have ever taken any of the food pellets i've dropped...

now, there is a way to get one but it is not truly ""legit""... that method uses a mod, IIRC... either that or some editing of the save file... but their models are not that good looking up close... they were never intended to be seen that closely...

I'm sincerely hoping that either Worlds Part II or III might have something like that in mind... seeing as how they have come out and stated they are bringing LNF content into NMS. Never know! :)

thank you both :(
the look of the flyer was what got me, so - as cool as the half-legit one would be, its most likely not THAT one :P

Way back in the day before everything ate "Creature Pellets", there were different lures.

You could scan the creature to finds it's lure and what you'd get as their biproduct.

I build towers up in the sky with autofeeder and auto harvesters and never got caw milk. Way back in the day.

Now we have butterflies in large gaggles that will not feed from the autofeeder but will eat from your hand and let you adopt them.

Worlds Part II would be great with some high altitude creature love, and the ability to harvest from you dang pet!!

There IS a way to tame many of them, with only the Titan Worm excluded that I know of.

It is called Companion Pet Unlocker

This extends the 'range' that you can interact with a pet, including those flying VERY high!
Nothing can tame the Titan Worms, but that is the only creature like this that I have ever heard of.
