Going the other way you can also bring items out of the expedition. Find a neat ship? Multitool? Hit the Return to Main Save button in the menu or on the terminal to go back to your main save and copy it into your main game save. You can return to the expedition and carry on as long as the expedition is still running (like 30+ days left at this point I think)
The main reason I'm glad they switched away from doing it this way is you -only- got to keep any Expedition stuff you unlocked via the Quicksilver vendor. If I found a nice Sentinel ship or multi-tool I got really tired of having to juggle another save just to look at my shiny.
You can switch back and forth between the primary character and the expedition character at will. You can copy ships from the expedition character to the primary character at will.
Before you hit the "end expedition" button you can place items in the transfer cargo to send them back to the primary. Once you press the "end expedition" all the expedition character's items and equipment will be converted to units and nanites and transferred to the primary. You will also receive some units for things like "distance walked" and "words learned" then the expedition character will be deleted. Bases will also be transferred to the primary.
Things I suggest placing in the transferre cargo before the expedition.
Basic survival resources
Warp cells
Trade goods (sell for units)
things that can refine into nanties
basic base building materials (if you build a lot of bases)
Salvaged Glass, Suspicious Packet (Arms), Suspicious Packet (tech) (things that give you random tech items)
MK2 refiner
Hazard Protection techs
Movement Techs
Warp techs (if your not going to copy a ship with good warp)
You don't need to transfer anything, the expedition will give you want you need, but this will speed things up a little.
Or just back up your files.
yes you get them at the quicksilver stall in the Anomaly
That is as intended when starting the expo from a new save.
Basically what you now have is a JUMP started fresh save.
If you wanted to run the expo again you only have a short time to do this from an existing save via the Anomaly kiosk Ends Wednesday 27. This is only going to work on any other save you have that has not done the current expo. We all have 15 save slots to work with and you have now used one for the current expo in your post. Any other save can be used to garner the loot you most need in any other save.
Say you have a pretty good MT and want to use it and apply all the upgrade to it you get in the Beachhead expo. or ship, and especially Freighter Mods.
You'll learn at the Anomaly kiosk how to import good to access in the expo and when finished how to export all the loot out.
The ship and MT you start the expo with will be the nanite bought ship and MT you get in the expo.
When ending the expo the ship and MT you have equipped will be the nanite bought ship and MT you can repurchase on save you imitated the expo on.
This is an example of ending the expo Aquarius. What you can learn from this is the tech/cargo slots count and some thing I choose to take out on a very quick run.
