Not that I mean to complain, I'm not intending to at all, the game is only getting better than pretty much anyone could have seen since launch (well, except maybe Sean and his Team; Bravo, to you all, and much thanks!). But some of these persistent little things, even if we've become accustomed to them as is, are still annoying. All in due time, though, right? To NMS being the best game in the industry, followed soon by it's sibling, LNF!!!
Yeah, those are the things......
For me really annoyed me the fact that i used up a lot of time (10 Hours or so) to build my S Class Pirate Freighter and make it comfy, this includes Hydroponic Beds for the Plants, a hall of them. And it happens that they just disappear without compensation, whatsoever. This makes the Farmer Quest a torture and caused me to make a Pause for now
@LauraSaurus:
Thank you for your kind, neutral Words.
Only disscussions have the possibility to cause a change. Whining and screaming like that @OneWhoNox, wont have any changes as outcome. However these Issues werent really presented to NMS Team in a thread for a long time and thats why i decided to make a "Fix your Antics and until now annoying Bugs"
5.03 patch notes included at least two fixes for things that have existed since their related feature was added to the game:
*Fixed an issue that could result in the Minotaur falling through the surface of the planet when loading a save.
*Fixed an issue that caused the hostile security drones on derelict freighters to become stuck in the ceiling.
Not to say that the devs shouldn't fix their game, but my guess is that there is some code regression that prevents certain fixes to stick. Might have something to do with how their abysmal release went(or just how it was put together in general), but it's also been quite some time & certain things haven't improved since.
There's still (imo) a matter regarding the things that they could improve in general regardless of the broken junk
-Trade terminal UI is more difficult to navigate than a trade rocket/empty space ship
-Slow UI animations, particularly opening/closing inv & other repetitive tasks like dialogue or refining or cooking
-Create things that improve/expand over time rather than taking shortcuts(upgrades that make the UI & dialogue faster for example)
-ALT+TAB pauses the game with no option to disable this
-etc.
Definitely need people to add criticism for what the game is at least. Change usually does not happen without pushing back against the problems that persist. I'm usually lurking, but I'll add my voice in respect to @LauraSaurus & @GrimReapaa for calling out a circle jerk for what it is(in our own sort of circle jerking lmao).
Oh, and Nourishing Oozer is not in the catalogue page.
Just commenting on the farmer quest line. IF you simply plant one plant, turn around and destroy said plant(apparently it mimics harvest /shrug good enough for the quest). Then you can hand in the resources to progress the quest. This of course makes the assumption you harvest enough from a planet/bought from a merchant.
Is that quest line annoying? Yep. Do I wish I could just disable some of those quest lines? yep. Will it happen? Who knows but I doubt it.
Also just to iterate what should be obvious but hey, it surprised me when it got introduced back when. You can change the game settings on the fly. Make it so you don't even need to have the resources for building. Not sure it will work on the quests but it might. /shrug
This indicates, that the game is just saving resources, the game itself for me runs fine after i return like 3 hours later. all the time progression still works :D
I see your point, but nonetheless it IS absolutely a Bug and it is constantly included in every Update since 2019 or even earlier.
Just when i found out, how common this issue is, is when i started to look for dates.
Players shouldnt make up for Bugs, the same as we arent supposed to be cheating....
Both, dev and Gamer side got responsibilitys
