it's community based

It was 49% last night.

That's why the Expedition is SIX WEEKS long.

If you were around for Expedition 12, that last optional mission took a long time as well

Discovery services has been down or intermittent for most players the last four or so days. Until it is back up and running, there are likely a lot of data not getting updated.

I really wish they would stop with the community objectives.

I don't like having to wait around for the community to decide it's time to finally fill the bars in, I'm tired of discovery services being down which hinders progress too, and I'm tired of not being able to budge it myself because they have it set to need thousands, maybe tens of thousands of kills.

An expedition only takes 3-10 hours to complete, and if you want the rewards from the optional milestones, you gotta stick around and pray they get the optional milestones done soon, otherwise you're just waiting, and waiting, and waiting.

Please stop with these stupid community objectives. They're not engaging gameplay, they just cause a bunch of waiting around, and any singular player's contributions are worth almost nothing, and there's no rewards for contributing to it (you get the same rewards if you contribute extra or not).

I mean, if I could get 5-10 nanites per bug kill, that might be different, but once I kill 50, that's it, there's nothing more for me to do there once I finish the expedition, which is kinda stupid.

Meanwhile, my save is tied up waiting on the dumb bars to fill in.

honestly I don't mind the bars however they should make it so it's one tier that unlocks more items every 20% but also there is a convenient button called "Return to Primary Save"

It must be tens of thousands at a minimum. I’ve killed ~1,500 myself in the last 5 days.

I wonder if discovery services being down is causing us to lose effort.

I've always suspected that the community things are just someone setting it to completion to make everyone feel like good job boys!

Wizard of oz stuff.

you can "turn in" only 150 kills per day per user... unfortunately, there's no counter that you can see to know when you have reached the limit... i'm pretty sure the daily limit is IRL days, not game days... also, i'm not sure when the IRL day rolls over...

IIUC the game caches the outbound updates until DS is back online and contactable... at least, that's what the in-game message that i've read several times implies...

or the 150 bug per day thing exists
it does exist but until DS is back online and fully contactable, nothing related to the Tier missions can be updated...
