There a way to create ships in creative mode?

I like they added ship fabricating, but I'm honestly not a fan of how scrapping a ship and you only get to choose one part to keep while the rest get scrapped. I don't like to waste ton of money buying ships from other NPCs. I tried using creative mode but it doesn't let me fabricate the ship parts. Is there a trick to how?

As far as I know, the only way to get the parts to build a ship is to salvage ships. You can't just fabricate parts.

It works just the same in creative mode, but you don't need any money obviously.

In the save editor you just have to ''craft' in an inventory slot the part you want, potentially they are all available, you just have to pick it out of a list of items to add.

I use Goatfungus' Save Editor, just google his name and you will find it.

Why the objection to buying ships? I takes about a week of reasonable hours-per-day play (maybe about 4 per) to make so much money that you never need worry about buying a ship again. Then you may buy and scrap to your hearts content.

Heck, if you are a bit practiced at it, you can hit the upper bankroll limit of 4.2+B units cash in about a week of play (but I admit that would be a push to do without excessive hours).
