Infestation Alpha Purge the first site (where is brood mother?)

So i have a fun little bug, or rather I don't
Reached the dropzone one, got to that site, but no brood mother to be seen. I left the site and now I can't even come back there, as it doesn't appear on the scanner anymore.
Has anyone had the same problem?

I'm not certain from your description, but are you maybe mistaking the building at rendevouz one as the purge site?
Or get did you to the purge site elsewhere on the planet after getting coordinates from rendezvous one?
Rendezvous one is marked with a yellow icon, purge site is marked with a grey minotaur icon

I had a problem were the brood mother didnt spawn. Fixt it by cruching a maggot/ can also be shot if you cant pick them up.

I think you're only required to kill a brood mother on that planet, not necessarily at the drop zone. So just find one of those maggots and shoot it, it should pawn a brood mother.

(or pick it up and destroy it from inventory, since it's required for another objective)

You'll still need to access the terminal to complete the objective though, if you can't do that... rest in F.

As far as I can tell- you go to a rendezvous point and kill some spawning critters. Once you interact with the terminal inside, it pings a new "infestation site" icon and you go there and keep killing stuff till the brood mother critter shows up. I jump on top of the building to have some protection.

I just focused on the primary target with my scatter blaster and a few grenades. I am lousy at coordinating the paralysis feature with the grenades so had mixed luck with those grenades. Finally finished it off with the scatter blaster for the win.

Yeah, that's why I was asking which icon for the site they are at.
although if I remember correctly, you just have to reach the infestation site for the brood mother to show up, and going inside to the terminal will complete the mission

I followed the minotaur icon so yeah, I got to the actual infestation zone, but alas now is too late as I left the planet and there is no icon anymore. Brilliant :) Starting from the beginning I guess...

Do you need to set the Difficulty Level in the Combat Settings back to the defaults when you first started the Expedition in order to get the Brood Mother to show up?

In order to make the Mech Icon show up again, make sure to select the Mission in the EXPEDITION screen, and the Icon will show.

I tried it and it didn't come up
I started from the beginning and the bug lady came out immediately, I'm sure I was in the infestation site because the spot looked exactly the same
anyways I finally did it!
