New Chitin Helmets

I haven't been able to acquire any of the new insect-themed helmets during the current Expedition. Is anyone else experiencing this? I've killed at least 10 broodmothers and I've heard anecdotes that they drop one every 5 kills.

those are averages, the brood mothers DO drop, just not often.

Im about 60 in without the first one dropping. Im just gonna conclude its bugged for some people.

I got one after my first kill before the expedition began. I haven't acquired more since then

I started a new save and immediately started killing broodmothers. About 20 kills in so far and still no drop.

I think it works different in expedition. I hope those aren't the community rewards, lol. I know that in my main save after killing about 5 i started to get stuff after every few i killed after that, not in the EXP save though

I got all 4 of the helmets outside the expedition in my main save. Haven't started the expedition yet. Took about 20 kills and you don't get each one after every 5th kill. My first one dropped after 3 kills or so, the second one after the next 5, the third one immediately after and the last one took about 10 kill or so.

Tomorrow imma kill one thousand queens and if I don't get the helmet it's definitely bugged

I killed over 40 with no drop in the expedition.

im over 100 kills in the Expo no helmets at all... i'd have left the expo to try there but waiting for the community goals to finish and figured i may as well be helping with that...

I seriously think they are bugged or the drop rate is really low in the expo

(And yes i know for sure im over 100 kills.. i have 600 grubs to crush)....

Is it one drop after 5 kills or a 20% chance of a drop? If the latter then 11 kills would give you a 90% chance to have found a helmet. I guess something is broken.

I got them all, but did not pay attention as whether I got them upon killing broodmothers or as rewards upon completion of various phases during exp14 ...
As well as claws and more.

Pretty sure you cant loot Brood mother in Expedition. It works only on your main save outside of expedition.

I'm probably 75 kills in and not one helmet. It is getting old fast.

Update for those interested.. i gave up around 200 kills in the Expo .. went back to my normal save and got all 4 helmets in 7 kills... Deffo DO NOT try and get these in the Expodition its "bugged"...
