Expedition community effort
So, for the longtime players, I got a question.
How long does it usually take for these community effort goals in Expeditions to complete?

They will be completed when HG consider it is time for it to be 'done'. No one will miss out, promise.

It's not about missing out.

Don't think that WE can affect it, by mass killing bugs. I think it is a scripted slider, it will move regardless of we kill bugs or not.

Well, progress seems pretty slow considering player activity.
And taking alot of other things into account with this game, I have some suspiciouns about this feature and it's quality.
But thank you. We'll see how the pace changes over the weekend I guess.

The counter only tells of "50+" klls, but according to some streamers we can at least get 150 kills before it caps out. but we will not know how many exactly above 50 kills we got. Also according to the same streamer we have to do the kills on a specific planet. i cannot confirm either. if someone can confirm or disprove this information it would be of great help. I would like to know if i just could gett on a bug hunting spree and add significantly to the goal or if i would hit a cap before that.

That's why I'm asking. I smell artificial bs all over it.
But obviously I don't know for sure so I wanted to hear about some experiences of people who played the previous Expeditions.

That sounds like some one-game-andy streamer gobbledygook.
The game can't even properly keep track and keep integrity intact of some of the simplest things.

It does not matter one toot how many things you kill, or where. They'll all complete before the expedition ends.

I agree. Based on past events it is either scripted or throttled. I expect the last one to unlock a week or two before the end.

I have a different question that is probably blindingly obvious to you all but isnt to me. I am afraid to collect the phase rewards before the community thing finishes for fear I won't be able to collect them later (I know not to complete the expedition).

Frankly this is not an expedition i will do a second time.
Lindy Bomber Jul 26, 2024 @ 9:00am
You can collect the phase awards and still get the optional. Just don't collect the final reward, that will convert the save to normal.

By final reward you mean ending the expedition at the terminal? Right?

So it's just a bunch of artifical crap as I already suspected.

I finished all stages of the Expedition without claiming the optional rewards or the final rewards in each stage yet.
As I'm waiting for the counter to go up.

While I played for a long time last not, I saw the Stage one community counter go from 1*% to 23%

Fortunately I had my MultiTool Staff from the 12th expedition that has that Neutron Cannon, already installed on it, so I moved it around to make use of the Supercharged slots, and am getting around 19,760 Damage from it, so I can take out the Gigantic Brood Mothers in a few shots.
