The base planet attributes are pretty much cooked into the game so I doubt they could be successfully modded. (At least for the long term) I believe there are some mods that change specific elements like flora and clouds as example. Those will likely break with each new update so be aware before using them.
If you are willing to play offline forever more, you may be able to downgrade the game to a prior version. That seems like a big step when you can just find another world.
Well it did though
I can’t , I literally had to find a purple neon grass world where I built around an npc trading hub with a vantage point overlooking 3 suns. Literally nearly impossible to replicate , I want my old planet back instead of looking for an eternity to find another with those specific things.
The base is also so huge in detail with that it’s nearing the limits of the creator.
I cannot replicate it, it’s an impossible undertaking.
Better Planet Generation[www.nexusmods.com] is an excellent one, and regularly updated.
Of course, be aware that this works by swapping seed numbers (oversimplifying it massively for easy explanation here, it does way more than that), so your discoveries won't be the same as anyone else unless they're using the same mod. It also won't give you your old planet back. It just might be worth a look in case it gives you a better roll than the Worlds update did.
An alternative is running an older copy of No Man's Sky. It's more than possible to have two versions of the game at once so you can use an old one for your base, and a new one for any expeditions or to check out new updates. You can use the steam console to grab an older version.
Was it the topography? You are now on a different plane (seeing how the systems are all "tidal locked" with the suns revolving around planets)?
The colors changed too?
Can you post some before and after screens? a base that massive, that you were that proud of, you have to have some shots of that awesome view.
I don't have proper screenshots, but quite a few "build in progress" ones, i never assumed it would be destroyed, especially by the devs.
Yeah, i can upload quite a few photos to imgur later today after work, but after ones? No. I refuse to screenshot the aftermath, or even reinstall this game until this issue persists. So i can't do any afters.
Lazy question from a lazy guy huh.
It’s funny how an update can absolutely destroy your save years after something. Live service really is awful at times sadly.
But how could I leave unsafely?
If you ran off a cliff, that would be leaving unsafely :P
You didn't lose anything really, that planet didn't belong to you... you just don't like what it has become...
I actually lost something incredibly rare... probably was the only one of its kind in existence as it was the result of a weird unintentional glitch... but you won't see me raging at strangers over it... (calmly discussing it, sure, but not raging like you've been doing in this and your other thread)

I had an Intercepter that turned into an Iron Vulture (see the tech module), but it disappeared from my collection with the update...
It sucks, but who cares... I'll live. And I'll continue enjoying the game without it. I'm still happy for the update.
Well that was my main reason for playing though. The quest system in this game isn’t too deep and you can only explore for so long until you’ve seen most the world gen can offer.
So my idea was to spend way too many hours looking for my “ perfect system” and constantly return after warping away and adding to it.
It’s a shame it had to come to an end like that , a save file corruption would have been way easier to swallow
I’m pretty sure you can save editor it to get what was taken from you, can’t you?
