Sentinel Interceptor
I just found one in the expedition. Will it carry over to my main save once its over? Or will I have to find one again on there?

If you started from the new game menu the expedition will convert to its own save with everything in it.

If you started from the terminal in the Anomaly, before you press the "end expedition" button on the terminal you can copy ships and tools from the expedition to the primary. Once you "end expedition" everything in the expedition sub-save will be converted to currency and the currency transferred to the primary.

To copy a ship or multitool make sure the ones you want to copy across to your main save are the active ones before you end the expedition.

You can actually copy them before you end the expo too... just select the MT and ship you want to copy, click "return to primary save", make the copies, jump back into expo, rinse and repeat

And you can copy multiple times. Before I ended the last expedition I made multiple copies of the iron vulture and scraped them for parts. I'm currently holding on to those parts to see if you get anymore special ships or parts.

yup, MTs too, just move some tech around and you can make more copies

You can also copy / save any ships or tools with the editor and paste them in any save

So its possible to do it back the other way?

So by ending expedition you mean don't complete it completely? Copy over what you want then end it by completing the expedition?

Yeah, you're able to freely jump between the expo and normal save (you can return to primary save at any time via the start menu, then use the Expo Terminus to return to the expo). As long as you don't actually "end" the expo, you can copy as many ships and MTs as you want (so long as you have the nanites to make the copies... 1-3k a pop) ;)
The item transfer via the Terminus only works when you fully end the expo though, so there is a limit on how many items you can transfer

Multiply that by 2.5 for maxed settings. So like 7000 nanites for a ship instead of 2800. That is "going back" ... still 2800 pulling one in {unless the player changes the setting for the Expo?}. Still for such a file ... nice to avoid the 125,000 nanites to upgrade from A to S by using the free upgrades via the milestone ... thanks HG :-). So still a high cost returning, but way lower than 125,000 nanites lol.

Yeah my PD max files are charged 7k if they want to pull a ship back ... forget exacts on a tool ... but equally scaled up {just easier to remember the flat 7k}.

ah, i see, so there's a decent chance it's less than 3k in a normal save then...
Does that mean it's free in creative mode?

Not 100% sure, but think it is tied to the settings. For example, it is 2800 to pull a ship back on Normal {default settings}. While you are on Survival. your settings may be default and are the same as normal default. I never played on free mode, but guess it costs them nothing when pulling a ship back? As a side not my settings make it so when claiming a reward ship it also cost 2.5 times as much lol.

Nothing special ... just have the settings I do a I did the "Outlaw Challenge" in the past, but kept the file once it was completed {and one other file with the same setting , but was made with tutorial on}. Otherwise I would hope most people are not making it so it cost 125,000 nanites to upgrade from A to S lol. But yeah may just be settings for your mode {maybe making it technically custom} ... where you jusy went with default Survival {cannot speak on that as I only ever did Normal or PD {default or worse}}

Ah, so the cost is it's own setting then?
I don't think I'll ever go back to normal mode at this point (and will likely never touch creative)...
If I get the itch to start a new run it will definitely be PD... I'll probably max the costs too... might make the economy feel a little less broken...
I got 470k nanites from this past expo, and I've nothing really to spend it on XD

Wow. Yeah I never sent that many back, but was not until like the run before my last one where I realized I could make 25 nanites per horror kill lol. This Expo definitely allowed a player to farm the hell out of nanites lol. Wish I was paying attention sooner or the files where the economic vacation was nicer {PD max files} could have been used more ... I did not even try and farm a few extra Horrors lol ... but yeah I can see a player making millions of nanites just killing Horross over and over lol {supplimented with Abandoned buildings}.

Still ... well done ... looks like you spent some time in the Expo chilling lol.
