Welcome back, if you have questions or issues please feel free to post here, IMHO the best thing about this game is the super active community that plays it. (and also ALL the 'DLC's and updates that have always been free!)
The new fauna are also randomly but more common.

I presume gambling is illegal in NMS universe and that's why X class is considered blackmarket
As others have said, the stats from X class are random, and can range from the worst to the best... It's only really worth considering them once you have S class upgrades and want to push for max stats (though there isn't really a need to do so)
