Advice on locating portal Glyphs? 🤔
Hi.

I have found the first two, gone through the planet portal.
I now have 8.

But am having two problems. The second is the main one.

Firstly, in space stations I either get a black popup where "other bases" should be. Or if they do show, I get "cant download base."

The second and main problem I have no clue what to do. (As the other Glyphs I managed to get, were right where the portal landed, as the other players had said "glyph here"

But seeing as I seem to have run out of those options, saying "glyph here."

I am porting to planets from the anomaly, as the space stations are doing what was said above.
I am choosing planets / bases with the little glyph symbol. But when I get to the planet, even using the scanner that shows animals and birds, and other symbols. I cant see a glyph symbol anywhere.
What do I need to do to locate the glyph on that planet, as the little glyph icon was on the base in the anomaly.

Sorry this was not very well written.
I hope it makes sense.

Thank you for any help, and advice.

talking with the anomalie travelers on spacestations they give you position of glyphes maybe every second spacestation has a traveler thats my own opionion of the chance :P

The easy method is to just play the storyline. When you get to the purge, they will give you all the glyphs- one for each warp. Maybe you are doing something different, but finding travelers is the hard way.

Do the Artemis mission untill your dealing with "null". I did that one and got to the point where it was the Purge and then i was given those glyphs seemingly randomly over time they were interjected to me somehow before I did the purge mission. Didn't do anything they just fell in my lap.

Thanks guys

I will play the story, but I want to get the glyphs first.

I have tried the space station method, but have only found 2 traveler's in about 10 stations.

Thanks for the link.

But it still leaves the question of when going to a planet that the Anomaly shows a little glyph symbol how you locate the glyph on that planet?

Again thanks for the feedback

It's one of those missions that gives "approximate location" only. They are usually really hard to see from any distance. You can use the Photo mode to scan the entire area or you can fly low and slow around the area and the HUD marker will show on the compass at top of screen, or you can just land and do a target scan and walk to it.

As mentioned though, be sure not to talk to the ghost. Just lay down your marker/base comp and quit the mission.

If you want the glyphs first then you need to ck all the space stations for the strange travelers and pay your 200 nanites to ask them as a secondary question - where they come from. Recently I have not only found the glyphs on planets but also looking around again I have actually found a second one close by. Some space stations have second travelers too. That is the only way that I know of unless you just randomly run around which isn't really helpful. Not sure why you need them before the 16 hops you have to make that would give you them all. You do get a little lore from each one. I guess you could also look for bases at the anomaly with the word traveler in them or a picture of the glyph.

The planet that has the glyph - the glyph is so strong you can see it from within a SS after getting the directions from a traveler. It is very bright and looks like this > :nmsatlas: on the planet. You just fly to that icon. It is EXACTLY there, not an approximation of site. In your ship you can also tag it using your "E" key.

I have no idea what Smurfy is talking about. What I describe is not a mission it's just a little quest at SS from a ghost/traveler. You pays your 200 nanites and you gets your directions, exact directions.

Follow the link in my 1st post. There's a way to use the Nexus Floral Menace missions to speed up the Glyph acquisition.

EDIT:
Added method quote for clarity for those who don't want to follow the link (which also had a v.good explanation of the other methods from Mr B. btw)

This. But there is a slightly less grindy way of finding Traveller grave sites than hoping you find a random Traveller to talk to.
The Nexus offers a mission type involving eliminating hazardous flora (mission names can vary). The mission involves travelleing to a marked traveller grave site to trigger the need to start killing the plants. These traveller ghosts don't issue a glyph during the mission though. If you travel to the grave and place a base computer or save beacon and DON'T interact with the traveller but quit the mission (save and reload or fly back to the Nexus and abandon it) you can then travel back to the marked grave and talk to a normal ghost to collect the glyph and memory fragment. YMMV but I usually see the floral menace missions in just about every refresh of a Nexus list.

I've acquired the glyphs both ways: grinding out going to many space stations and inhabited buildings on the ground (some of them also have travelers) and doing the Purge.

The grinding method is more hit or miss, but it does work - just keep going to space stations and talking to travelers (be sure to interact with each one twice). The Purge is more straightforward, but as mentioned above requires that you complete the full Artemis story line all the way to the end.

Having done both, I'm not sure which takes longer from start to finish.

So, this weekend's Nexus mission is a Floral Menace mission. If you want to get all your Glyphs quickly, do it easy this weekend.

Pick the weekly mission, get warped to the system, you'll have one site marked on the planet but there are already plenty of comm balls marking other graves that other players have kindly marked for you. Just fly to each comm ball marker and harvest the glyph and memory fragment before you go to your own marker.
Comm ball locations marked

Get close to confirm they are marking a grave site.

Note: Not every comm ball will mark a grave, players tend to mark other stuff too (like Sentinel Pillars).

If you get close and see it is a grave but the yellow Atlas symbol doesn't show up on your ship compass, then you've already done that one.

If you don't get up to 16, or don't want to use other's markers, just go and manually mark your own site with a Base or Save Beacon, fly back into space and summon the Anomaly, quit the mission and then start it again. You'll get a new site marked. Go to your previously marked site first and harvest it, uplift your marker (or delete the Base) then go and mark your new site, Rinse and repeat.
Your site marked on approach.

Manually marked with a save beacon

Quit and restart, new site marked, save beacon marking first site

I've already grabbed 4 in 40 minutes including the time it has taken to document it all.

I have been looking at this myself.
I returned to the game after a year. I do not have the Artemis mission any more. I don't know if it was completed, or if it just vanished; but I don't have the quest and in the 60 hours I have played since I returned there has been no sign of this quest chain.
I have also been checking Space Stations for the travelers, and have encountered only 1-2 of them in the 60 hours of play, across maybe two dozen different systems. So at this rate it is going to take me hundreds of hours to get all the glyphs.
How do I restart the Artemis mission if completing that is supposed to give me all the glyphs?

I noted Artemis path will only conclude with completion of the Purge. It’s one of the main path and have no means to be removed. I am at post purge new beginnings. The path is still there but nothing I can act on though.

Expeditions aside, which do have their own log scripts until the respective expedition had concluded, the normal paths will resume.

Are you sure you don't have the glyphs already? The only way I know of to remove the set of missions (commonly called the Artemis Series) is by completing the purge and deciding if you are going to a new galaxy or not. (pick yes!...dumb to pick no)

There are several parts to it, so you need to look at the main quest area in the log. if there is another mission besides the Atlas Path, pick that one. It sounds to me like you never finished it but don't know what to look for in the log. Google the Artemis mission and there will be a link that lists all the names of the mission parts that constitute "The Artemis series".
