Expedition 14 Iron Giants glitch

Hello, I have killed 2 of 4 of the Iron giants. I've spent at least three hours in battle between three different attempts to complete this part of Exped 14. Each time I am deep into the battle and the iron giants haven't yet appear when suddenly, while my hands are not on the keyboard, I get something like a scan started, the camera moves up to space for a second, and then back down to me, and all of the Sentinels I was fighting are gone and I have a map indicator for a downed Sentinel ship. Is anyone else getting this glitch? How the F do I get my last two iron giants?

You should NOT do that quest on a DISSONANT planet, the one with the little pink shards everywhere. Go to a "high sentinel activity" planet and piss them off anywhere or any other planet of your choice at an abandoned building or a factory, factories are great for that. You can get maps to find those buildings from cartographers or just use the abandoned buildings that the game sends you to during the expedition.
