There's rat bag working at the Space Anomaly.
I had to pay 1400 Quick Silver to get my Starborn Runner from the robot at the Collection station on the Anomaly. :surprised_yeti: I won't say it's name.
You know who I mean. Has he started a storage service charging us a fee to keep our Collection of Star Ships in the Anomaly; so he can get rich off our hard labor?

Suspicious glare on my characters face... ooo... I wonder if he's doing it on his own or who it was that put him up to it?
I earned those Star Ships the Expedition way. Also called The Hard Way!
(just joking around)
Still seems odd, Hello Games even included a swap service for them. We earned them after all.

I guess HG decided to make it more challenging for players to pick up the cross save ships early game. Most of them cost nanites, but quick silver is a new wrinkle. I have been surprised the frigates are still free.

Fortunately, I am not a huge fan of the Starborn Runner, but it does sort of bug me we have to acquire some QS just to use our cross save items in a new save. I try to avoid those Nexus missions because they are often screwed up and the ones that work are kind of boring after you have done them once.

1400 nanites, not quicksilver.

I started a new save for Orbital and have claimed all of the expedition ships at this point. For me, none of them cost Quicksilver, only nanites.

It is Nanites. I just was blinded by a little ire when I saw we are getting charged for our owned (earned) stuff twice.

Actually, I'd prefer it to be quicksilver, because once you've bought all the quicksilver items, it's not needed EVER in the game again.

I see that point, but nanites rain down on you, unlike Quick silver where you have to go out of your way to earn it. Coming up with the nanites for anything other than S-class upgrades for ships/multi-tools is not something I even have to actually think about much less go out of my way to do.

Quicksilver would lock us out of those cross save ships for a good while in expeditions too, which may or may not be a good thing, depending on your personal view.

ETA and whether you have started from within a save or on a fresh save.

Report it to Nada or Polo.

Hm? I just realized I don't recall seeing any of my collected Star Ships During my Utopia play through. Or the ones I gathered playing Utopia in Normal play. Those I restored on board and kept on my Capital ship. I simply thought that they will appear the next time I move the Capital ship to another location. When I play this time I am going to find out.

You do have to go collect them on each save. A few updates ago they started charging you nanites to claim them on a new save. Fortunately, not the frigates- yet.

I guess I see the point to make it slightly more challenging on an Expedition or new save. You at least have to wait for one jump and to collect the nanites. The bar is pretty low on both so not really a huge PITA like finding Salvaged frigate Modules used to be.

Really happy they made those more plentiful. If anything the rewards we get from the faction dealer seem a little too generous. (At least on normal mode0

The ship we got from the start of our Expeditions is one I always keep. It's gone too.
Hello Games stripped us of our eleven other ships we should be able to get without Nanites.

I am presuming that because there is a new ship building station on the Space Stations is why we don't have any of our Previously collected ships we restored. I collected two during the last few plays and turned them in for parts to start building ships with. I didn't expect I was not going to have any other of the ships I restored taken (without notice). Did Hello Games send out a notice telling us the ships we restored and kept of the nine we could would be removed with this new update?

It's like someone walked into my garage and stole a car I was saving and restoring, not just 9 Star ships, but 12 of them! They are restored ships I cannot get back now.

Dedacted because what I realized isn't for young minds.

Go to the Quicksilver Vendor and claim them in your new game

The nanite cost was always there. It just didn't work in that if you came in with less nanites than required you got the ship anyway.

Makes expeditions a lot more even for newer players, getting to the point where you could reach the anomaly, spending all your nanites on tech or recipes then acquiring a few very cheap ships, moving all the good bits to the best of them, scrapping the others for cash and nanites and continuing on much have been worked out by people other than me ;)

I studied "Goatfungus Save Editor" His Save editor has how to get any ship from any save.

I didn't know how easy it is to Export and Import them. Now I understand to Export them first and then I can import them to my present Save normal play any time.

I have all the Star ships I restored saved in a folder.
I can Import any of them to any normal Save.
Now I have a private Star Ship folder. my own star ship garage. Safe and sound. If I ever build one with the new Star ship creator on a Space Station I will know where I can park them safely for the Future.
