Second, the game changes over time. Older player information on locations may no longer be valid anymore.
The best you can do is pick fresh information to work with and make sure you know what galaxy the address is referenced for.
Not sure if it still applies but you can also have a problem with what mode is used. I found several times that something listed was a lower class for me because I was in Survival mode and they were in Normal mode. I thought they cleared most of that up, but honestly never use that kind of stuff anymore.
I made sure the addresses I got were for the Euclid Galaxy and I know I was in the right location because the system name and the players base were correct . However whenever I check mentioned locations there are no S-Class goodies. Could it be that the recent update reset those locations loot?
And yes, always turn off MP. If you want to check, I can give a current confirmed crashed ship now (never published) and we can see if your find is exactly the same. I can use a 'normal' mode.
I'm willing to check it out to see if that makes a difference. Thank you.

This is from 7 days ago, i.e. post-Orbital - you can try with Normal mode vs Relaxed (Creative?) mode.

Hi, you need to save once you arrive at the planet with MP off. Other than what the others have informed you about, ensuring you reload on the planet reverts to the base seed of that planet, not yr specific seed condition when you arrived.
Thank you for letting me know that. Appreciate it
Thanks so much . I'll try those out.
Saving and loading on the planet also wouldn't affect the "class" of a multi-tool cabinet. It would have an effect on the model of the multi-tool, because the seed for that is based on planetary body of your last load, but the actual class of the cabinet wouldn't change.
If you're finding an entirely different class, either the portal glyph information you have is old (outdated), you aren't in the right galaxy, or the information you got for glyphs to use wasn't valid in the first place.
Thanks, scroll up
Teleportation Terminals under Outlaw control are a special case. If you've not completed Under a Rebel Star yet you may lack the necessary credentials to make full use of them.
That in itself may be indicative of a larger issue - the age of the guide you were following.
