Didn't receive any parts after salvaging a ship

Just decided to extract wings from a slightly broken hauler I had saved and nothing was added to my inventory. Is it because it wasn't entirely repaired?

Working as intended, I'm afraid! If you salvage a customisation part, you get absolutely nothing else back. No units, no scrap.

Your choice is between getting units/items, or getting the customisation part. You don't get to have both.

If you had a free slot then it's similar to the fighter wing bug that was just recently patched. Basically a set of fighter wings were not in the game so when you tried to obtain them you got nothing.

Was it cheap/easy to get one? If you do get another ship, make sure you grab a save before so if it happens again you can include your save in your bug report:

It happens when the salvage station gets confused and offers parts of a ship that is of a different type. I had hoped they had fixed the bug with the last patch. Guess you can't recognize the bug when you have a hauler and it offers fighter parts. But if that happens, reload your last save and then it should get the class of the ship right. I have no idea what causes this bug or how it can be prevented, other than reloading when you get hit by it.

Aw shucks. It was a ship I found somewhere long ago. I spent my whole session today bringing it back to working condition so I can fly it to the station hahah
Guess I'll refrain from playing with the ship builder until I'm more stocked up on stuff and it gets more patched up

YOu could've just teleported to the Space Station, then called the ship without fixing it
