100% Achievement players

There was a time when that type of travel was not a thing and the warping was mind numbing.
Also, most people, like me, just never had much reason to leave Euclid. And NOW, why go to the center at all? Just go to the Anomaly and choose the galaxy of another player.
And as @Anga Hakuna said, NMS achievements are a personal goal & really easy to obtain (read as "cheese"). I never actively sought them (except extreme survival, because... reasons). But after over 2k hrs on the steam version, I figured why not.
But yeah, early on, PD to the center was tedious. If the glitches didn't end the run for you.

My last one was REUNION (visit another player base) because I didn't realise you needed to interact with the base computer to trigger it.
I pretty much never play "normal" mode after Survival and PD were added (apart from during Expeditions) so the Survival and Permadeath ones were already done.

I think I achieved reunion by completing a community mission. I don't play MP, so community missions and expeditions are the only time I see other bases.

Anomaly planets, just one fauna type, no hunting around forever looking for that last little underground animal there.

I did. Took me a while, though. I had I believe 3 attempts where I got too cocky and then killed by a biological horror, jumped too deep down a cliff without enough jetpack energy to counter the fall etc. Sometimes even after like 10 hours in. Painful.

Part of the issue is the Steam stats have all the players who bought at launch baked in. Something like 300,000 or more sales in pre-orders and at release. A signifcant portion of those folks refunded out or just never played beyond a few hours.

I think if we could look at stats just for the last five years it would be a much higher percentage.

I believe that you can unlock all achievements in PD. It's only limiting factor, barring adjusting the settings easier, is the whole dying part. Now THAT will limit your achievement capability in PD.

Other than glitches, the only thing that should really kill you in PD is jumping. I suppose you can get into combat situations that could kill you, but just don't do that. Boosting or digging will pretty much get you out of any bad situation that you might find yourself in.
