Name of space stations
Sometimes when I change the name of a system, the name of the space station changes to the one I changed. Sometimes it stays like it was before (all in systems I discovered), making the teleport terminal a complete mess after you visit something like 20 systems, and with how much the game has in contect, clearly visiting 20 systems is not a lot. Any suggerences or tips in what I could be missing, please?

In my experience, it can take awhile for the server to update to the user name. If it is busy player time, or just fluke, two or three days is not uncommon. On the flip side, the game will allow you to discover and name a system that was already discovered. Again, it can take a day or two for it to correct the Server- eliminating your name/first discovery status and putting things back as they should be.

I always play MP off and that seems to help, but not entirely eliminate the problem.

How can you discover and name a system that was already discovered? Would be useful to know. Also, do you know if you can put pictures for the systems? Every system has just text and the same yellow template image, the same concept the template pictures that bases have, but I can't figure out how to put pictures to systems, if it's possible. Thanks if you reply :)

I think that the issue with being able to discover already discovered systems relates to the way the game updates your save. As Mr Bufferlow has stated it can take a few days for the discovery server to update. In the mean time you are 'discovering' systems that other players already have but have yet to be updated on that server. Once the server does update it will take the first player to discover the system's names and roll them out to everyone else who has also discovered those systems. I don't, however, think it rolls them out to everyone as this would just clutter their save files, could be wrong though.

To my knowledge you cannot place a picture of the system in the teleport menu, however if you have a base on a planet in the system - even if it is just the base computer - then you can take a screenshot of it (via the base computer not Steam's F12) and this will be stored in the teleport menu.

The name of a space station's teleport is determined when you first land and set foot on the landing pad there.
If at a later stage you change the name of the system, one must visit the space station again and use its teleport, to have the name in the teleport update to the new name.
If you change the name before visiting the space station for the first time, you avoid the trouble of the wrong name being displayed in the teleport.
