What makes a ship elligable to be broken into parts?

As the title says, I was going to make an explorer with solar wings but once I found a solar ship with wings I liked I go to salvage it and the button says "Cannot be broken into parts" It's a C class if that makes a difference. I saw in the list of parts solar wings is on there. Am I missing something or is there a certain criteria for the ship to be salvageable? Thanks

Only Explorers, Fighters and Haulers can be broken into module parts, and you can't mix-and-match between ship types. Fighter parts can only be used to build a new fighter, Hauler parts for Haulers, etc.

Solar, Exotic, Sentinel and Shuttles also cannot be broken into parts currently.

EDIT: I just realized what you were seeing, there's an Explorer wing which looks like blue, kinda diamond-shaped "solar" panels on either side of the cockpit. This is different from Solar ship type wings.
