VR has had troubles for a while... it comes and goes, though... probably depends on someone at HG being able to duplicate the problem(s) and with all the various VR gear out there, it can be tough...

How is it broken man? Works the same for me. I have made the habit of unplugging my monitor though and it completely removes the stutters.

Since i got my Meta Q 2 just a few months after they came out, Ive never had a good experience with this game and VR. I have yet to try this update, and hesitant... (since the flight controls are wonkier than that half assed Wonka Experience.. Im from Elite Dangerous, and many dog fighting games... in terms of control of flight, this is one of the worst)

Works fine for me compared to the previous two versions. Did you check your settings for any changes? Resolution/supersampling/DLLS can make a big difference in performance. But it depends on the headset and hardware as well.

I don't have any troubles running it in vr. No crashes or performance issues.
But they still havn't made the galaxy map a better user experience... Have made a couple of threads about it over the years Vr has been out, even reported it in the Zendesk, but nothing has changed about it yet, and it makes it a really frustrating experience playing in vr because of it.

Works much better for me since previous 2 updates. Quest 3, Virtual Desktop, Wifi6 Router, Win10, 3080, 32GB, SSD. I had previously stopped playing for several months because it stuttered so bad it made me sick, but now, its a completely different experience, smooth 95% of the time and perfectly playable. I have graphics setting on a mix of Standard, Enhanced, DLSS Performance, etc

The problem is they now only focus on the quest 2 and 3 which are the most popular but the not the "best" out there, I own the vive pro 2 and you can definitely tell that it's not supported anymore and they need someone to test out valve and premium hardware.

That would very much explain why of all the people answering me that they have no issue, all of them use a Quest.
If it's as you say, that's not acceptable.

The Quest is simply acting as a 'display device' for what the PC is generating, I don't see how using a different headset makes a difference in this case. The PC is doing all the work and simply transmitting the frames to the Quest...

No, the interface between your headset and your PC changes completely. For Steam devices it's Steam VR, for Quest it's what they call the Virtual Desktop. Now if your game is optimised to use one interface instead of the other, it will work much better in one case than of the other. A VR headset (and respective controllers) do not work like a screen that you plug into your HDMI or Diplsay Port, it's a bit more complicated than that.

For some reasons I can only play with my potato comp and a CV1, on my main one it's horrible
Are any mods enabled for the game? Maybe check and disable them, at least until mod developers update their mods to work with the new game update.

Cosmos Vive here (with an RTX4080). Performance has been pretty much constant across the last versions. But with default setting, the stutter was insanely bad, which initially was a big disappointment. With DLLS though, the VR mode has been smooth and responsive.

same. 4080 here and somehow seems small stuttering still exist even in new stations
