Thanks :) I'm still upgrading the ship i got from the expedition. I make 2 hops...one to a paradise planet system, and one to a pirate controlled system. Clicking star bulb in the catalog will cause the map to point in in the direction of the nearest system with star bulb. Only paradise like planets have star bulb. This works for any mineral, plant, i think animal as well etc.
Before, i was hitting the paradise planet systems, then having to actually perform a manual search for the pirate systems. Now i know better lol cheers :)
No conflict scanner installed in my ship, so not possible. I even checked under accessibility options; for those who are daltonic or other sorts of color-blind, and they were off.
There are other filter options in the galaxy map itself but a more likely explanation is that elements of the background and / or foreground are washing out the star's actual colour.
Yellow nebulae in particular can appear practically incandescent under certain conditions.
And that's without HDR.
