the ability to know what parts you have yet to collect would be nice, where might mods be found and has anyone done something like this?TY

This site doesn't really work anymore but it does have pictures of all the parts (it doesn't have the correct names though). it could help though (note, its on fighter by default but you can switch it to other ship types.

You might think that, but you'd be wrong. :) There are already mods for building custom shuttles and guppy Exotics on NexusMods. Apparently, the coding was already there to build shuttles, but it wasn't activated by HG for whatever reason. One modder activated it. Another used that inactive coding to make it so that guppy Exotics can be built. There's currently only one "slot," though, so currently you can only have the shuttle mod or the Exotic mod, not both. And I imagine that when HG tinkers with this mechanic more, such mods will be perhaps permanently broken.

I'm glad HG went with their own names for many of the ship parts. Mainly because I'm sure it really torques off all the redditors that always think their way is best.

Here's everything that's been released or updated recently. Anything before the 25th risks errors such as crashing or just weirdness; texture mods and some others are usually safe, though. Any mods that change the ship building process are going to take a lot of work to make, other than the simple mods that are already out. I expect someone will have a mod to buy the ship parts soon. I'll release one myself if no one else does.

I dare say the save editor will allow you to unlock all the ship part blue prints or add them to inventory, If and when they update it and you want to go down that route.

Recommend having a save for that and another save where you want to feel you have earned everything yourself.

I'm positive the rest of the ships will be eventually included on the vanilla game. I haven't used those mods yet but there's a shuttle and solar building mod on nexus.

yes, if it only took 2-3 days for the modders, im sure all ships would be included soon along with more slots, hopefully

i would like to see the ability to custom a ship you have already regarding colours (maybe an option in the customise UI) and also to stick different type of wings and engines from different class of ship onto the new ship, ie explorer wings on fighter cockpit etc.
