The update was implemented stupidly. Why, when disassembling a ship, can I only remove one part? because it's a grind.
but probably all this works for new players.
Haha, nope.
"That's just what Jesus said sir!"
It's a good update, lots of potential here to be explored.
Exotics and Interceptors are special so I could see why they would be left out
Shuttles might not break into three interchangeable parts as easily. Solar ships might have to be broken into three or four parts.
Exotics should be allowed, more in demand then the lego block ships
Exotics have very little component variation so making them rebuild-able would be pointless. Interceptors and Solars might require a visit to a different type of station (pirates) given their complexity but not impossible to the craziest of engineers. Shuttles are junkers thrown together with little effort, but given how cheap they are, farming them for parts to make a decent looking one wouldn't hurt at all. (To my surprise, shuttles look like they finally got some visual improvements as some of the fuselages have been given a size change)
yes it also happened to me in 2018 was on a planet in a staion realize later that it was worth 600 mil.
When some players started asking for ship building others complained that it would take the fun out of 'hunting' for exotics/interceptors. This may be an attempt by HG to balance the two views re ship collecting. It may also change in the future. Nobody really knows.
Also was a tad disappointed that you only get to choose ONE ship component when salvaging it. Eg. choose left wing, and all other components simply disappear into dark void.
In addition, I feel like we should have got some extra storage space to place all these salvaged parts. As at the moment, you basically need to fill base storage container with them. Especially with stack size being as low as 10, apparently.
