Can I paint an existing ship?

I was SO excited to see ship customization....finally! But I like my ships, just not their colors. I cannot find an option to paint an existing ship. This makes me so sad.

unfortunately, it doesnt yet seem like that is doable. And I'm right beside you for I would love to paint existing ships. myself.

Yeah, I was really hoping I could customize the ships I already have (because I have an extensive collection of uniques) but that's okay. This just seems like they are laying the groundwork and will be able to add more later.

you can neither paint existing ships, nor can you customize anything other than fighters, haulers and explorers. Not even shuttles. They released it, got everyone all excited, but it's not nearly as robust of a customization update as many hoped and ultimately disappoints. Par for the course with them

So we have to dismantle a whole ship to get ONE type of module... and we're unable to buy missing parts. "Fantastic".
