The final "class" is based on the core/hyperdirve (?) type you buy when building it.
Overall the system is ok. Just dumb that you can only build the ship ONE time. Want to edit it? Too bad; collect all the parts again and start over.
2 No idea
3 Purchasing a different core reactor may change this stat. But i don't know for sure.
You can change colour on built ship.
As you build it. Once created; that it. Unless you found some other area that allows you to edit it afterwards
Not yet.
But, as of now: ships are a one-time build, no further editing. Unless of course you make a "C Class" ship and upgrade it like you could do with other ships before this update.
But, if you want to say make two fighters with everything the same except say color. You will need to have salvaged 2x cockpit, engine, and wings from the same exact design - as well as buy 2 of the cores/hyperdirve things that determine the ships "class".
And I know on my creative save; it was showing the S Class core costing almost 3 billion credits.
Correct; only Fighter, hauler, or Explorer.
Those are bought from the same vendor where you would buy different class upgrades for existing ship parts. Like upgrades for ship weapons, etc.
Thanks! <3
