Phase Beam not working

IS anyone else having an issue with using the Phase Beam on your ship, where it comes on but just blasts your screen with green light, like it's working, but no beams draining the targets shields and you get blown out of the sky immediately?

There is an issue with certain weapons hitting and damaging your own ship. I'm not sure which ones, but I understand it has been fixed in the experimental branch and will be rolled out to normal at some point.

a possible temp work around may be to change views... if you are in 3rd person, switch to 1st person and visa versa... at least until the fix is released... i got another update on Experimental this morning...

Thank you, was just trying different weapons and found the Beam kills me almost instantly, but missiles and cannon work still.

I had this bug a little while ago, but I understand it was fixed. You may want to try the experimental branch, or check if there's an update you're missing.

I updated, using Beta, and the fix is I can only dogfight in third person view or I die if I use PB to regen shields. I also updated my Nvidia drivers, chip, sound card, and wireless/ethernet board. Al updated and good to go now. New updates on Nvidia makes a difference, fps hasn't gone below 30 yet. Thank you, All. Have a great night and week!
