IIRC some underwater plants also give them (but this may restricted to specific type of toxic weather oceanic based planet.
Atmospheric Refiner will get you one of those gases depending on the planet you install it.
3x Nitrogen -> 1x Sulfurine.
Then...
3x Sulfurine -> 1x Radon
I believe you can combine Oxygen with either process to make the yield higher.
If you really want a big amount, you can turn nitrogen and sulphurine from other bases into radon by refining them with oxygen.
The better recipes:
1 Nitrogen + 1 Chromatic Metal -> 1 Sulfurine
1 Sulfurine + 1 Chromatic Metal -> 1 Radon
and if you make too much:
1 Radon + 1 Chromatic Metal -> 1 Nitrogen
-Some times in radiative planets, under water you have big vegetals ballons, get them.
-Find a radon spot if you are advanced in game and put an automated collector on it.
Get one of your ExoCraft w/ the advance scanners and pop for Storage Facilites.
Get a few maps from the SS for Secure Sites.
Mutant Plants: Love em the regen like Curious Deposits. Pop your marker and fly away come back and strafe the site, rinse repeat.
Atomosphere collector blueprint from Anomaly: Easy peasy
1 Sulfurine and oxygen makes 1 radon. cheaper than 3 sulfurine to me anyway.
Same with Sulfurine. 1 nitrogen and 1 oxygen make 1 sulfurine.
Your fastest method is definitely going to be to raid supply depots.
Although I usually build up a stock of all of those sorts of high value materials (Superconductor/Semiconductor) from Frigate Expedition rewards.
But if you want/need a LOT of it, find a Radon hot spot and set up some extractors. Its an investment that pays off in the future, if that's what you need.
There's a plant to you can shoot. I name escapes me right now. You can a bunch of them like curious balls only for radon. I have 2 bunches and got 3k+.
