Build up your reputation in the Guilds by simply going back and forth between stations?
@HelloGames ? @SeanM ? @16.16.16.16 ?

Is it normal to be able to receive a free item from a guide representative and return it directly to him for additional reputation?

At best, you'll have to find the right stations, but it seems possible to build up reputations just by going back and forth between the right guild counters: take a free item from station 001, go to station 002 and give the item from station 001 there... And so on...

I have had that happen with all the guild factions at various stations (and Colossal Archives). In the same system!

Of course not at every station but it does seem odd to give them "x" only to receive the same "x" back as tribute.

And yes exactly as you describe, you can quickly increase your ranking by just teleporting from one to another.

Bug or just good ole HG RNG??

It's fairly well known. If that is how someone wants to play the game, more power to them I guess.

I can't be bothered with the load time waiting to do it, If I log off at a station and log back in later, I will pick up the item again justifying it as they restocked while I was gone. If someone is going to the effort of watching endless loading warps just to get free stuff or abuse to get reputation I would suggest utilising creative mode instead and save some electric,

I built up guild rep fast by buying contraband in pirate systems then giving it to guild envoys.

Very fast.

Currently, if you teleport between two (or more) space stations, the guild stations refresh each time. I suspect this is not intended and it will be corrected in a patch, as right now it takes very little time to accumulate lots of goods/standing if you take advantage of it.

The best thing would be for the stock to be random every time you return to the station: merchant, guild, missions, etc.

At the moment everything is going well, but I have realized that if I load the game again they give me the reward infinitely... is this intended like that? It seems very strange to me, honestly.

If this is the case we would be talking about the game being very broken, because the moment you do a couple of missions you could receive this reward infinitely and for free, I don't even want to imagine when you manage to have a high degree of affinity with the merchants. ..

For now I will see it as a bug and I will not take advantage of it, but I would like to know if they plan to fix it
The point is that it is not like reloading the game to buy a new S grade upgrade module since it has a cost, we are talking about receiving expensive items for free

Yeah I agree with this especially since ranking really doesn't do anything anyways. I'm not about to grind and load for that.

Yeah, it's kind of a whacky implementation. They should've made the "donate/redeem" value global (=applied to ALL envoys simultaneously) and with a lengthier timer. But hey, I can't complain if it reduces the amount of grind and my time wasted :]

Agreed - from what I'm seeing with Guild and Mission rewards, it seems like a knee-jerk reaction to (long time) complaints before Omega. Especially regarding both Salvaged Frigate Modules and Cargo Bulkheads. Now I see them literally everywhere. :nmsatlas:

Just take what you need. Like in real life, overindulging is a personal issue. If you have to use every exploit or bug then complain about it, well...
Or think of it this way, maybe HG did it on purpose as a test. Did you pass or did you fail? Did you take more than you needed then feel guilty? Is it the game's fault? Should this be fixed so you wont be tempted? Did you immediately send a bug report so it would be fixed sooner rather than later? Interesting questions for an inquiring mind. :lunar2019crylaughingpig:

Also agree. It's just an over-correction to a problem they were addressing.

It'll get sorted..

I'll post this on behalf of our OP. Bug report was submitted 1 hour before this thread's birth.

I would also imagine if all stations had to always remember what interactions you have had, the server would have a spasm with the extra stored data for all players at all visited stations and planetary merchants, etc. It seems like the "forgetting" of previous purchases is to reduce server loading.

I was actually wondering today:

Assume that players successfully explored every planet in existence, renamed every scanned entity and uploaded them all for nanites. The catalogue for all 257 galaxies has been 100% completed.

How much cloud storage space would be needed for the data and how much power would the server centre need to keep it all live so players will always see other peoples discoveries?
