Unlisted 7.5gb update?

not sure if that counts, but i was just now able to get the Pirate Sentinel Freighter after a Pirate Freighter vs Civil Freighter battle, like.. it surrendered and i could enter to talk to the captain. i heard that would come with the new update, but i didnt see any download or such tho

Thats the prior update my guy, the new update is OMEGA.

Edited from the in game patch notes, available by clicking on the bottom left icon on the start-up screen;

- New expedition system ( terminal is now in anomaly), but expedition has not started
- New Omega expedition... sometime
- new planetary missions, based on race, place, personality
- you can now board defeated pirate frigates
- you can get a dreadnought, no idea if this is the pirate one or another.

Patch notes are not on the HG web page yet, so I guess we wait and see.

This patch does not appear to include the teased station revamp.

If its an expedition, could be the last expedition, if its the update, its likely the last update that has to do with the sorta hidden story theyve been telling in the past 3 updates.

Did you get a multi-gigabyte download today for xbox? That's all any of us got. The update itself is live--at least mostly--but the expedition is not activated yet. We don't know if it's on a time delay, or if there's an issue. It's pretty common for expeditions to have issues the first day or two, sometimes even being taken down to be fixed then reactivated. The update content including pirate dreadnoughts is the main excitement, should still be live for everyone.

If, however, there hasn't even been an unremarked software update on Xbox? that could explain the issue. If there's a certification issue for the update on Xbox, that would hold things up.

I sure hope this isn't a marketing thing - rewarding PS5 users with first access (on Reddit they are claiming PS5 users have access already).

Considering the game started out as a PS exclusive, and PS has usually got the updates first, this is no surprise at all. You'll get over it.

it was never PS exclusive lol. It released on PS4 and PC at the same time.
