Nanites in Stellar Extractor on Freighter?
There were 2.000 Nanites inside the Extractor while I was looking inside it.
How did they get there?
Can I repeat that?
lol

probably from the Mold

He said the Stellar Extractor, ie the things that harvest different gases from the star systems. you're thinking of the Refiner Rooms.

Were you by any chance parked in a Dissonant system during that period? I don't KNOW, anything, just doing game-educated speculation on what might have caused it.

Presuming you really DO mean the Extractor Room.

What were the other potential products that were listed on the Extractor output at the time you found the nanites?

Screen shot please.

Where was your freighter parked? System type? Planet type?

Could be a bug or a new feature.

Those would finally have a purpose if that really did happen now. ;)

Indeed; who needs chromatic metal, nitrogen, radon, or sulphurine?

perhaps you'd built a refiner in that room spot previously and the contents of it transferred to the stellar extractor later. Seen that happen even with refiners where the contents that previously had disappeared from me teleporting to another system and them being gone on my return. I'd chalked it up as a loss, but later on, like several hours, warps/teleports, and saves later, I interacted with that refiner again and voila, the materials were suddenly back. If internally the extractors are treated similarly to refiners, that might explain it

You only need the gasses if you're making a staff, or if you're actually trying to go through that ludicrous crafting tree to craft something whose only use is to sell for credits, which you can probably make easier (and plenty!) credits just by going to, and stopping at Circuit Boards which requires no gasses.

Then, you have Chromatic Metal which is actually somewhat useful, but there are surely way faster and easier ways of getting Chromatic Metal. Like, literally, spending 5 minutes on a planet will get you thousands of CM, and you don't even have to go to a blue star, regular old copper comes out of the ground, 500+ per copper node.

Or, you know, just buy it. Using the above circuit board method, you can get thousands from the space station for the price of a single circuit board, and setting up a farm that lets you make 10 of them per day isn't difficult at all.

I remember it being Chromatic Metal and 3 gases. This was now 8 gameplay hours ago as nobody was really responding to this question.

Was a free area. I build 3 Extractors next to each other (planning to build a lot more) and only the middle one had Nanites.

It's a known bug caused by some pattern of summoning frieghter/teleporting to it

I see. Curious how that happens. Did some of my body parts get stuck inside the machine and I just have to pick them back up? haha
