The game needs on foot combat against humanoids
Imagine enter a pirate ship and have to fight your way to the captain or be able to free a small settlement from pirates on a planet. There is so much potential.

Edit: Lol, what's with all the hate, some people is having a mental breake down because I suggested shooting a bunch of pixels.

I'd like to see the game start more casual, then as you progress towards the center of the galaxy, or proceed to a new galaxy, then everything starts to scale up. Cause right now, once you have the answer to a problem (strong enough multi-tool for sentinels, high enough manoeuvrability on your ship to be able to hit space pirates, enough jetpack to leave a planet, enough hazard protection to forget the feature exists, etc), then those things are just no longer problems for the rest of the game.

Combat is always skipable in NMS, you can reach a safe location or just save/reload and avoid any fight. I believe thats a philosophy HG intends to keep for the game and i think its perfectly fine.

Imo the 2 things missing in ground combat are :

-good weapons, fun and satisfying to use.
Better aiming sight animation, scopes, better range, lower recoil etc. Current weapons are just horrible.

-better movement. Jetpack jumps are clunky AF, slow moving and shooting sentinel bots are mindnumbingly boring.

The next part would be more diverse enemies with better physics, but a better movemnt and aiming feeling would be a start.

For space combat : either slowing down everyones speed or increasing the players turning speed. Keeping the visor on target without auto follow is effectively impossible because the camera is slower than the enemy ships, which makes a very crappy gameplay. Auto follow is really a boring workaround for the messy control and speed imbalance.
But i have to say space combat is a bit better than on foot still.

Most likely, the game won't add humanoid enemies.

Nope.

What Humanoids are you finding you have to "On Foot Combat" against?

No, it does not. Play a game that has "on foot combat against humanoids". Last time I checked there were lots of games like that.

Nah, What Quake, Half-Life, Skyrim and Doom need is Space Exploration, Base Building, and Ship Building.

I don't like shooting people.

And some people are so set in their ways they can't grasp the concept of a game that isn't all about combat.

No thanks, but I do encourage you to make your own game with this idea.
Plenty of games out there where you can kill people to your heart's content. If you want a "spacey" one, there's Starfield, for instance. How 'bout we have one game -- Just one! -- where you don't have to kill anything if you don't want to? Oh wait! We do! It's called No Man's Sky. So how 'bout we leave just that one alone, OK?

biggest complaint i've ever had with this game is the lack of combat, now there is combat in this game but it just doesn't ever feel very weighty. over the years it's gotten better and expanded in this area, but still just lacking over all.

An update to combat would be nice, but no need for a space CoD.

Star Citizen already exists and has extensive combat scenarios like this already.

Go play those other games. Play every game for what it is not what you think it should be.
