Please help me find music from the game
Here is a link to a clip from my stream, where I went through the Adrift expedition https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2177833399 . I used several melody search engines, looked through several 65daysofstatic albums, but could not find this beautiful composition. I will be eternally grateful for your help!!!

The music is procedurally generated, like everything else in the game, so you can't buy it.

A Google search yielded some info.
And it seems that the band '65daysofstatic' made the base for the music found in the game.

Wiki page about NMS development, where it is mentioned, among other things, how the music was created.

.
No Man's Sky features a soundtrack by English post-rock band 65daysofstatic (65DOS), as well as procedurally generated ambient music composed by Paul Weir.[47] The game uses a generative music system called Pulse developed by Weir, using a large library of loops, textures and melodies created by 65DOS to randomly create music to accompany the gameplay, reacting to the changeable terrain and becoming more or less menacing depending on whether a character is in danger.

In 2016, the band worked with developers of the procedural sci-fi exploration game No Man's Sky to create an in-game soundtrack which itself worked procedurally: the band recorded sounds and melodies (often with multiple variations) which were then combined dynamically by the game to create music in response to situations and player actions.

Thanks for the info! I saw how several people besides me were playing exactly the same music as me at the same moment during the expedition. Could we have generated the same composition?

The haunting music has been used several times for the opening of previous expeditions. It's not by chance. It's a wonderful composition, it really is. I love this too and it was probably written (or procedural in its creation) early on in the game development. It's one of the great tracks of this game either by 65 Days of Static or in collaboration with Paul Weir. It's a bit like 'Tomorrow Lull Celestial' by 65 Days.

There is an alternative track also just as beautiful, sometimes used at the opening of expeditions.

If you like this pace of music you might give a listen to 'Enya' and see if you like that also.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Yeah, they put ALOT of effort into soundtrack music, ambient music and soundFX for NMS right from the start... i was completely blown away just to simply walk around "listening" while exploring first planet i spawned on for hours at a time... i can vividly remember the experience from almost 8 years ago! :)

I've played 250+ hours of the game and I'm still blown away by the soundtrack...

Yes THanks! ... Games Sound and Music and the creators are often taken for granted but that is a HUGE part of gameplay experience, especially a game like NMS.

Paul Weir is one of the many genius at their craft, at Hello Games :)

Over 3600... i sadly don't have the same amount of free time i used to, but from time to time [and Expeditions] i sit down and play for hours that seemed like minutes, sometimes just exploring.
