Look for systems marked with Dissonant, then within those look for planets with Dissonance Detected.

Then on those planets look for the glowing purple sentinels / crystals.

Put that as the current mission, the galactic map will elad you to a system with a planet with dissonnance.

In your starship, in space, go to your star map (swirly thing) click on that, dissonent systems are labelled, once you go to one scan the planets and a dissonence detected label will be shown on your planetary discoveries when you mouse over a scanned planet. Have fun, I certainly have.

I know what you mean. I cant understand why people upload a base, I assume trying to be helpful, and then name the base with a name that means nothing to anyone except themselves. Like the synthetic life form mission in the expedition. Why not name the base as such? if that is all it is going to be? Instead they name it something like Crazy angry robot or something stupid. Most would take it for having something to do with the sentinels. at least I would and did, maybe because I'm old i don't know. But nope it sure was about the synthetics.
One of the easiest ways to find a dissonant system on the galactic map is to open the Catalogue menu and look for the exotic material Atlantideum. Hover over the image or icon for it and 'Pin' the resource as a secondary mission to find it.

The galactic map will now mark a location with Atlantideum present which is only found in a dissonant system. As long as the pinned mission remains the current focus, the system highlighted on the galactic map should read Dissonant in the information.

(Many things can be pinned to find them from the Wonders page, the guide and Catalogue or from pop up menus as you play and can help plot a path to them.)

:D
