one hint is a series of words that don't make much sense... probably something like if yes, then read those words while thinking about Glyphs and which of those may match the words used... i'm being very loose here so as to not spoil things too much...
also, be sure you are in the Euclid Galaxy... the first Living Ship quest requires you to be in Euclid... all other Living Ships you may get can be gotten from any Galaxy...

Read it many times. Can't find the planet and no idea how to use those coordinates. I guess that's what I'm really asking. I'm not getting any markers for portals.
Note that glyphs must be 'found' before they may be used. You can either collect them one at a time from the graves of fallen travellers or all at once by way of a plot-critical mission.
Learn as many words as you can and keep at least one of the following in your inventory:
Gek Relic; Korvax Casing; Vy'keen Dagger*
*Difficult to obtain by dint of the simple fact the Monolith will never give you one for free.

To locate a Monolith, use a Signal Booster / Exocraft Signal Scanner / Planetary Chart and follow the white rabbit purple marker à la Stanley Kubrick.
Solve the riddle, win a prize, gain insight into the infinite. Sort of.
Oh, and keep your pockets full of stuff. These things don't exactly run on batteries y'know.
