white dot
since the last update a white dot has appeared in the middle of the screen which i cant seem to get rid of, not a big problem but none the less annoying. [steam deck] only on foot but does not appear when in a star ship. any ideas on how to fix this.

Is there a crosshair setting in the settings? otherwise maybe its tied to a particular multitool mode.
No crosshair settings, but i will try the multitool mode, might be something im missing. thanks.
FWIW: that white dot is your aiming "reticle"...

i have seen where the reticle doesn't show... i think it has been when i've removed the weapon i was using and not switched to a new/replacement weapon... i see it mostly in my star ship when i remove the default pewpew and replace it with the Infra-Knife...
I have the same on the switch a white dot [reticle] which stays in the middle of the screen. It is linked to the multi-tool and seems to have occurred after the omega update,as it appears on both the switch and steam deck.
ummm... that white dot is supposed to be there... for one thing, it tells you where you are looking so if you squeeze the trigger while in mining mode, that dot is where the laser beam will strike... if you change to other modes (eg: terrain modification mode) then the dot will change to a different type of reticle depending on the tool and the tool's mode that has been selected...

Yeah, this. It's always been there (on PC at least) since I started playing before Omega update.

I haven't personally noticed a setting to make only that one UI element disappear/smaller. On PC if you set the UI scale setting to 50%, it gets so tiny I often don't even notice it. Well, at least at 4k/55" screen. Dunno how settings options work/look like on portables. But if you used to play on PC, maybe you just didn't notice before.
I must say i have never noticed a white reticle before, only while using the multi-tool on either PC or Switch, thanks for the advice.
