That's good to know, because I felt bad for reporting a couple of bases that were built so close to a really cool Living Ship, or Regular SHip, that it made it so you couldn't "Activate" the ship to claim it or get inside it.
I felt that some people were legitimately trying to be helpful, (Because of how they named their base) but it gets annoying when you Find a base built close to a ship, AND the area has a dozen Communication Orbs that also affect your ability to even touch the ship.
Also, as far as griefers go, STAY AWAY FROM RDR2 online!!!
to my stance.... i don't need to make excuses
i'm on record in this forum as mentioning many of the flaws of this game... but i don't need to make a big deal of it cos
1) i luv the game
2) bits i don't like, i don't do (i.e. MP/Co-Op)
3) most importantly as the game is not competitive and i'm not into MP, i mod the heck out of the game to bring it closer to my idea of how the game should be (including fixes/re-balancing, QoL and Visual)... i find that much more constructive than asking for changes and waiting, and waiting
i'm retired from programming/contract consultancy, tinkering with the game is almost as much fun as playing it for me
all that being the case, anyone looking to buy the game can ask about it in this forum
(do a search) you will see 'we' always advise NOT to buy the game if combat, MP and or Co-Op is most important to you cos those features aren't very robust/deep
That's not to say it's not a good game but 'niche' definitely applies here, i'd describe it as a 'chilled' space exploration sandbox and luv' it, but many won't and that's ok, but some tend to try to twist the 'broken promises' into a right to demand the game be developed in ways they want or else they'll scream the house down... good luck with that
Your idea of incompetence is another person’s idea of game play. Some groups actually like to get together on PVP.
HG has made a game open to all sorts of players. They also have you the options to not participate in any sort that you don’t want to. That isn’t incompetence. That is very thought out and calculated game designing to include all.
Maybe this game isn’t for you.
Had another guy kill me with PVP off. I heard him firing something from a spaceship but never saw any animations, I just suddenly died.
Watch your judging. This is just a game. So things happen when you play freebies and run around in multiplayer internet games. I don’t do either and I don’t have your issues. That doesn’t make me the problem.
