How do you complete the 'take a photo of a planet' missions?
I got one of those missions, and I have no clue which planet I have to take a photo of.
I'm in the right solar system right now, but it just keeps saying "They want a picture of a strange planet," "Press 'C' to scan planets," and "Find the target planet."

I have no clue what "Strange planet" is supposed to mean, as there are no "strange planets" in my solar system. I've scanned all of the planets in the target solar system, and it has done nothing for me. It won't tell me what the target planet is.

are u in the right system, also u can just take picture of each planet AFTER u scanned them
Just like how you take screenshot (not via steam f12 the X hotkey menu and take screenshot with lmb)

Yup, I'm in the right one; the camera icon is in it, and when I entered the system, it told me that I was in the right place.

So do I just take pictures of all of them, then? Do I take pictures outside or in the planets?

I know about the camera, thank you for adding that, though.

You need to land on the target planet. You can make a good guess by scanning each one in the system...one will have a description that probably rings your "that is an odd planet" bell.

Once you enter the air of the planet, you will get confirmation it is the target. Land, take a picture in any direction of the surface and you should get a completed- back to the station.

Thanks for clarifying that. I guess what made it difficult for me was that literally the ONLY description I got for the planet was "A strange planet." That tells me basically nothing... But I guess I can get this done in like 20 minutes. I just feel like all this hassle--travelling to another star system and going in like 6 planets--isn't really worth the 200 or so nanites. But thanks for clarifying this.

Yeah, sometimes the description exactly matches the planet type when you scan it, and other times it doesn't. You do sort of have to use your intuitions. Oh well, at least there are not that many planets in any given system. Sometimes it's the last planet you check... :)
