The Purge, What To Do..? (Spoilers)

So I am in my ship and am unsure about what choice to make. The wiki says that at this point it doesn't really matter, but the two choices next are the question..

If I reset I lost all my multi-tool upgrades and a bunch of other upgrades and stuff too..? Hardly fair..

If I don't reset then I don't lose any stuff but what is the downside, if any..?, and will resetting change anything in the galaxy I started in at all..?

You lose nothing.. "Resetting" Is 99% just a story thing. You will keep everything you have, but your ship/multi-tool will have many functions broken, You just need to repair it.



You do not lose bases. You move to a new galaxy.

Can you repair purchased upgrades tho..? I know I don't lose my base, and that I can go back there via the Anomoly portal if I choose. Which even IF I did want to stay in the new galaxy I would need to go back to get all my stuff..

Yes, they're just damaged modules, you can repair them like any damaged module. They're the same materials.

You can still use a base teleporter to travel between galaxies. If you wanna move your base, yes. you'll have to grab your stuff.. That's not an issue.

Ok, that's good, thankyou. One other thing, I have 3 multi-tools, will all 3 be damaged or just the one that is currently selected.?

I believe all 3 will be damaged, I only use 1, and have 2 other 'spares' I honestly don't care for. They're both broken and I recently moved into a new galaxy.

Actually only your active multitool gets damaged. I have a special multitool for this purpose. My two others have no damage at all after changing galaxy.

I just did this mission.

Buy a cheap multi tool and equip it as your main.

Buy a cheap ship and equip that before seeing atlas - also put all its tech in tech slot.

Take plenty of supplies with your for repair. Ferrite dust / metal plates and the typical minerals you need.

When you get to the other side do quick repairs on your suit

Re-equip the good multi tool,

fly to SS and scrap crap ship and get your good ship back.

This is about where I'm at. After 600 hours finally decided to check out the center of the galaxy. XP

600..? I'm a long way from that atm :) Wanna explore more here tho before moving on, and still have things I want to do first. Quick question, the portals on space stations, do they hold 50 or 70 addresses, cuz I have read both and both can't be true...
