Atlas Pass V1
Did I miss out on getting the pass? I am seeing all kinds of things that I can open with it but have yet to understand how to acquire the v1 pass. Been to the anomaly and I am on the atlas path but no dice so far.

You need to break into a manufacturing facility and successfully pass the terminal. Select learn new recipe (or something like that). It will give you 2 factory override units which will let you choose items you will be able to make in your inventory. Atlas passes are on the far right. Theres a second page there too.

If you see #3 first, just get that one. you will not need 1 or 2. FYI, most of the things you get are available in the wild.

They don't stack? Sweet. I can get two spots back.

I tried in 6 games ranging from 8 hours up to 203 hours to get an Atlas Pass V1 from Polo in the early game time. I followed all the tips I could get. Game 8 I just play and did not try for a V1. At 146 hours and approximately the 30th Manufacturing facility the mask using the factory overide showed up. I got V1 and V2. A little later the V3. For all new players, one simple hint. The Passes are a disappointment, they give a little more stuff and something to look at. Nice to have but not necessary. Just enjoy the game. If you get the passes early... great, if not the game is still fun.

Probably the most useful thing the AtlasPass provides, you get with the V1; access to the loot barrels.

Not for the ones you find in the wild so much, but because you can unlock their blueprint (Barrel Fabricator, near the bottom-right of one of the Decoration tabs), which provide an endless supply of Navigation Data, Antimatter, and Antimatter Housings.

They refresh every hour, too, so you'll make back the Antimatter you spend crafting them fairly quickly. The Crate Fabricators are also well worth the extra couple of Salvaged Data once you've unlocked that part of the blueprint tree - free Microprocessors forever, and all the race-specific trinkets too.
